Remote Commuter License expiration time

Specifically Remote Commuter License but it applies to just plain Commuter license as well…after the check out period they are supposed to automatically check themselves back in but…is it exact or close?
I am finding that if I check a license out today 3/9 right now it will say Start time is 12:58.13 PM. I I would assume the license would expire on 3/10 at ~1:00 PM but it is not…the license is not expiring until it appears 3/11 at ~ 11:59 PM… so not at the exact time but at the end of the day.
What is supposed to happen and what have you seen?

I do not think the check out is locked to 24 hour clock but a day counter.

Yes is is a day counter...it does not count the day you check it out you could say.
So your example check out today at 1:00 PM does not expire tomorrow at 1:00 PM but at 11:59 PM
I had the same issue and question opened with HP for weeks for them to verify that is indeed true and the documentation needs to be updated.
My issue is when we need to check back out another remote commuter license there is an overlap until midnight unless you want to wait to check the new license out at 12:01 AM.
