REST URL – Authentication issue

We are currently using ALM-PC 12.60 with Windows 2012 Server R2.

I am trying to connect to my Performance center server using rest URL. I am using this url – http://test/LoadTest/rest/domains

My idea is to run the test using REST API without using the GUI. But, I am getting – 401 – Unauthorized: Access is denied due to invalid credentials.

I am using Advanced REST Client and I have provided a header of type Authorization and provided my user name and password. Any thoughts or ideas would be helpful.

It appears that the URL you are using is the second step and not the first step. You will need to authenticate before you can run the test. I can try and point you in the right direction by providing detailed steps, from the link below, to Authenticate, using REST API calls for Performance Center:

  • Please review the link below as it outlines the steps below to perform REST API calls using Postman to Performance Center including the details on how to Authenticate. Even though the link below references "Introduction to the Performance Center 12.55 REST API". It is still valid for Performance Center 12.60.
  • Please review the link below for Performance Center 12.60 REST API reference

I hope this helps
