Hello. We have recently upgraded ALM to v15 from v12.60, and UFT to v14.53 Patch 1 from v14.52. We are now receiving the ‘RPC Server is unavailable’ error when trying to run BPT tests containing 8 iterations or more. In the previous versions of ALM and UFT that were used, these tests ran without any issues. In an attempt to troubleshoot the issue, we have cleared off the ALM client using the ALM Client Cleanup tool, uninstalled / reinstalled UFT (with UAC and anti-virus disabled), ran both the tool and remote agent as admin, and run UFT both in hidden and not hidden modes. The error occurs when running the test remote or local. The ALM server is installed on a Windows Server 2016 / SQL Server 2016, and UFT is installed on Windows 10 Enterprise Edition – Version 1803. I appreciate any information that you can provide. Thanks!

Hello. I recently worked with Micro Focus on this same issue. We found that adding the parameter “ENABLE_CSE_V1” into the Site Configuration tab within Site Administration, setting its value to “N”, resolves this issue. Give this a try in your environment and let me know if the issue continues to occur after adding the parameter.
