Praveen_hpqc,
Have you verified that the DB is up, running and accessible with the qcadmin userid, as the DB needs to be up and running prior to HP ALM being able to start its services?

Hi @Dan, thank you for response...!

Last two weeks back I am able to access same db, my DBA Resolved Security issue in MS SQL after that I tried to restart HP ALM service because of 500 error and alm service status is ''started'' but URL is not working and getting new 503 error in browser.

Regards,
Praveen

Praveen_hpqc,

The services saying started, don't always mean that they fully completed the start (they will sometimes report that status even when they haven't fully started or they attempted and didn't complete. I would check for running processes and threads in Task Manager to verify if they are running the services).

As previously stated, you will need to verify that the DB is up and that you can log into the DB with the qcsiteadmin user and password. Since you mentioned the DBA ''resolved a security issue'' and I am not sure what this resolution entailed. You need to verify that the port that ALM is using to connect the DB is open and not being blocked and that the DBA didn't change the password, qcsiteadmin user account, or that the account isn't disabled within the DB for connectivity.
