UFT 11.5 : Multiple browser Objects getting added in Object Repository
Question ID: 107872

I am using UFT 11.5 to do some recording on application.

When I am on page 1 ,UFT adds one browser object into Repository with creation time 0 which is fine.
as I navigate logged in and click on any link of the page, new browser object is added into OR with creation time 1 and so on.

So I end up seeing multiple browser objects. My question is should not there be a single browser object with creation time 0 as I have opened only single browser and clicked link does not open any new rowser windows?

Please note that UFT has end support per [Microfocus obsolescence list][1] Recommend upgrading.

I think the problem is how UFT is configured. Recommend the following.

1. Go to Tools > Options > GUI Testing tab > Web > Page/Frame Options node.
2. Select Ignore non user-input data - Get.
3. Select Ignore non user-input data - Post.
4. Select Ignore user-input data - Get.
5. Select Ignore user-input data - Post.
6. Select Use additional Page information.
7. Close the above window

New pages should use existing pages and not create new browser or pages objects.

Thank you for quick response @bubblehead712 . I have tried settings suggested by you today.
Previously I had used the default settings.

However still 2 browsers are getting added. Adding Screenshot.

I recorded same application on 12.5, it created only 1 browser with default settings.
Unsure why it happens.![alt text][1]

After changing the settings as @bubblehead712 mentioned, you need to start a new test. Those settings will not take affect on existing tests/ORs.
