UFT 12.0 problem with the website’s security certificate

I am getting the stupid ‘There is a problem with the website’s security certificate’ error.

I have tried to ‘Install certificate to personal and trusted stores’ per the following:
http://www.learnqtp.com/forums/Thread-Continue-to-this-website-not-recommended-Error-we-are-getting. I am unable to do the Select Security->Trusted sites->Sites step as it is locked down in my company.

I was on IE8 UFT 11.52. I upgraded to UFT 12.0 and IE11 to fix this (per the app owners/siteminder team). Note I don’t get the cert issue running manually.

I have unchecked just about everything in IE Advanced->Settings (e.g., Warn about certificate address mismatch*). I can install Chrome, but am having issues finding Version 33.0 per the UFT 12.0 PAM. I also don’t want to hassle with making Chrome not auto-update.

Does anyone know a way to fix this? Sorry for the lack of ordering in this, I’ve been banging my head for the past 8 hours now and want to call it quits 🙁

Make sure that IE and UFT are running on the same Elevation level. Probably should also check UAC virtualization and DEP. You may have to run UFT ''As Admin'' or make a Recovery Scenario to deal with the cert pop-up.
