UFT unable to update ALM client components

We recently patched our ALM server to version 12.55, now when we open UFT and try to connect it to ALM we are getting the following error:

Failed to update components from server Failure in Spider Module Process.Error:This type of installation requires your application to be executed with administrator privileges, and that UAC is disabled. For more information, contact your system administrator.

What do we need to do to get past this error?

When connecting UFT to ALM for the first time after a patch or version upgrade it can be necessary to right click UFT and select ''Run as an Administrator'' when you are connecting it to the upgraded ALM for the first time.

Have the user right click UFT and select ''Run as an Administrator'' then try to connect it to ALM again
