Upgrade of project QC11 -> 11.52 throws error: Failed to restore project

We are trying to restore and upgrade a QC11 project into QC11.52 and are getting a simple error dialog-box that just says:
"Failed to restore project"

We checked the DBID.XML to make sure it is referring to the correct Database name, database Server (SQL-Server), repository (project directory).
We even compared it to a working project’s DBID.xml — everything seems to be in order.

Why could it be throwing this error?

Soapy,

I see it -- the reference to QCFTCAT -- that is the Catalog/Index relating to ''full Text Search'' in your SQL-Server DB.

Sometimes during an upgrade, the project restore will fail due to a previous QCFTCAT.

Try deleting the QCFTCAT full-text catalog:

Go into the DB in Management Studio.

1. In Object Explorer, expand the server, expand Databases, and expand the database in which you want to create the full-text catalog.
3. Expand Storage, and then expand Full Text Catalogs.
Select QCFTCAT Catalog (index).
4. Delete the QCFTCAT index
5. Try QC Project restore again.
