version control project getting error when modifying requirement

On a version control enabled project in ALM users are getting the following error: "OLE error 80040A43" when modifying the requirement type what could cause this?

I would contact your ALM support to assist as this is an involved fix, more than likely this is due to an issue with a system field. To fix you will need to run the MicroFocus Version control fixer tool and run some queries on the database. Marked as spam
