We're receiving the ”Unable to cast COM object of type ‘System_ComObject”’ error after upgrading ALM

Hello. We recently upgraded our ALM to 12.55, and now most of our end users are experiencing the following error: Unable to cast COM object of type ‘System_ComObject’ to interface type ‘Microsoft.Office.Uc.UCOfficeIntegration’. This operation failed because the QueryInterface call on the COM component for the interface with IID ‘{6A222195-F65E-467F-EB180BD85288}’ failed due to the following error: Interface not registered (Exception from HRESULT:0x80040155). Can you please help us get this issue resolved?

Hello. I will be glad to assist you with this issue. We have seen this issue before, and it is believed to be caused by a Windows update. The previous issue was resolved by reinstalling Microsoft Office on the machines that were affected. Test this on one of the affected machines to see if it resolves the issue for you as well.
