Make sure you have the Add-ins loaded that match the technology of the application under test. Check the Product Availability Matrix for your version of QTP to make sure that it is supported for use against the specific versions of the technologies used in your application under test. Try loading other add-ins. If you have version 12 or newer, try using Insight Recording. If not, consider analog recording. Marked as spam
