I can see that some fields are green and some are blue; some are Dimensions and some are Measures.  When Tableau Desktop asks if I want to make a field discrete make it continuous, what does that mean?

Also, how does this affect my viz?

Thanks!

Discrete is Nothing but Qualitative Data

For Instance: Name, Country, Category, Type

This kind of data is completely stored in Dimensions - Blue Pane

Continuous is all about Quantitative Data

For Instance: Sales, Profit, Quantity, Revenue

This kind of data is completely stored in Measures- Green Pane.

Hope the answer helps you.

Thanks & Regards
