Windows 8 and QTP

I’m thinking about upgrading to Windows 8 and was wondering if QTP will work with it. Has anyone tried yet? I’ve only found an enhancement request on HP’s site about it.

I have been able to install QTP 11 under Windows 8 without a problem. It downloads the appropriate run-time from Microsoft that it needs, and I am able to launch QTP 11 fine under Windows 8. However, when I try to record anything (especially against IE), QTP crashes with the 'stopped working' message. At the time of this writing, Windows 8 is not 'officially supported' yet, so keep that in mind, and you will probably have the same experience I have with it. I'm sure that eventually it will work with a patch or two. Marked as spam

I am trying to execute script in windows 8 but script nor recording and also objects are not added in the object repository. what is the reason any patch file missing? Marked as spam

Dear all, Thank you for your above quote. I am having the same issue like I want to install QTP 10.0 but I think so as per your above quote it's not possible to install. Can you pls guide me how can I get QTP 11.0 if any one can do favour and arrange for me it will be a great help. Thank you Marked as spam

Note that RichText said UFT 11.5 with Service Pack 1, not QTP 11.0. QTP 11.0 does not yet support Windows 8. If you want QTP 11, contact HP sales. Here's a starting point.
