when trying to add objects to the local object repository, user is getting the error "unable to add selected object to the object repository". If the user tries to add directly to the shared object repository via the object repository manager, it works.

Normal procedure to close and exit QTP is followed. Help is closed, Object Repository is closed, associated libraries are closed, no other dialogs or windows of any applications are open yet the application thinks something with the object repository is still open.
