Currently this is a limitation of the HP synchronizer, due to the nature of synchronization and the differences in field types between ALM and other endpoints much of the special formatting can be stripped out when a synchronization is performed. This is internal to the ALM synchronizer and also occurs if you were to synchronize with pretty much any endpoints such as Rational Clear Quest, TFS, etc. HP is aware of this limitation and there are several enhancement requests open at HP currently with this future functionality in mind.
