Create Defects from an Email

Has anyone ever heard of creating a Defect FROM and email?
In other words somehow have ALM or maybe the Synchronizer monitor and extra data from an email account and automatically create a basic defect?

Hi Hjessee,
I have in the past seen data extracted and added to test runs, test cases, and defects through custom created scripts utilizing QTP/UFT functionality, but that required running the script against a specific or given email account with that scenario. It is also possible to create defects through the OTA and REST APIs, however, I have never heard of anything automatic or through ALM otherwise allowing it though. It might exists but I have never seen it in my experiences.
