Defect required fields do not appear in order

we are on ALM 11. We have some issues in couple of projects. The required fields in defects module are not shown on the top as an default. When we click on create new defect all the required fields are shown on top but when we open existing defect the required fields are not displayed on top

I think the issue that you are seeing is a result of workflow and how it was added. In the ALM client if you click on Tools --> Customize --> Workflow --> Script Editor you will see the workflow for the different modules. Within the Defect module workflow you have 1. Bug_New - When you are opening a new defect What I think has happened is that workflow has been added to either the Bug_New or Bug_MoveTo modules that is changing the order of the fields (probably Bug_New) Marked as spam
