Hello. I am not exactly sure when the message disappeared, but I believe it occurred after installing UFT Mobile 3.4 sp2 on a new Windows 10 image. We were previously using a Professional license with 8 device connections and upgraded to an Enterprise license with 30 device connections. Shortly after the upgrade, we had an issue on the machine, so we had to re-image Windows 10 and reinstall 3.4 sp2. After getting everything back up and running, I noticed that the “x out of x devices in use ” message was missing from Device Lab page. Any idea why this message is no longer displayed?

Hello. I have seen this before, and I found out the following from Micro Focus.

The license capacity not being displayed is by design. Basically, the reason that the label stating the license capacity is directly related to the license type. Enterprise and Ultimate licenses are not displaying the message for a couple of reasons.

  • X out of Y is related mainly to the license.
  • This is not supported by enterprise and ultimate licenses

For Enterprise licenses, you can see the license consumption on the Settings > LicenseĀ > Quota Allocation. For Ultimate licenses, this is not relevant, because the is an unlimited amount of license available for use. Additionally, there is the new feature that allows you to allocate licenses on your workspaces where you can have them available for general use. This can be used to extend the licenses that a workspace can use. Since the license capacity is a variable, it does not get displayed.
