Having issues Exporting from Excel into ALM?

Hello,
We have several users on older systems that are experiencing issues exporting from Excel into ALM. They are all receiving an error that says "A General Error has occurred. The required ALM files are not downloaded onto the system. To download the files go to the ALM login screen." We have done this and the users are able to login to ALM without issues so we are assuming the files have been downloaded.

What could the issue be, as we have the add-in installed and only get this error when attempting to export from Excel into ALM?

Hi Homer,
I have seen this in the past and a few of the things that were causing it, were the use of an unsupported version of Excel for your version of ALM and the other was to have two separate versions of Excel installed on the same system and both had the add-ins installed. When the incorrect version and it's add-in were uninstalled (as only one version of the add-in is allowed to be installed at a time on a system) the issue resolved itself. I would try to uninstall all ''extras'' from the excel that you are not using and test it without the ''extras'' installed.

Thanks. We uninstalled all extras on one of the systems and it seems to be working again. Thanks for the hint.
