The reason may be because of a setting missing or misconfigured in your Site Configurations within the Site Admin. You need to do the following:
1) Log Into Site Admin
2) Select the ''Site Configuration'' tab at the top
3) See if the following parameter is present (if not add it using the new parameter action from the top menu) with the 'N' (change to 'N' if present and set to 'Y' currently) value for it: DISABLE_VERBOSE_ERROR_MESSAGES

This should allow the details of the error messages to be displayed.
