In order to see the LoadRunner transactions in AppDynamics using OPTIC you will need to ensure all the installation steps have been followed found here.

The best way to ensure this is to use the automated installer DeployOptic.cmd found in the zip file on the download page

Once you have determined that all the dll's are in the correct path and you have the Visual C++ Redistributable Packages for Visual Studio 2013 installed and the machine agents, then you can move to the configuring steps.

1. Highlight the transaction name you want to see in AppDynamics
2. Right click and select the OPTIC add in option in the pop up menu that should have been installed using the cmd installer above.
3. From there select ''Transaction Headers''
4. Click ''Insert for selection''
5. This will add code that looks similar to this web_add_header(''AppDHeader'', ''AddToCart_03'');

Once this has been completed you will then need to configure AppDynamics to see this transaction name

1. Go to Configuration->Transaction Detection->and whatever technology you are currently using to track your business transactions Java and .NET for example.
2. In Transaction Naming Configuration dialog, check Name transaction dynamically using part of the request
3. Use a header value in transaction names
4. Header Name: AppDHeader

Once the above is complete you should see the LoadRunner transaction names coming into AppDynamics from LoadRunner.

And don't forget that OPTIC can be used for not only naming Business Transactions in AppDyanmics, but it can also be configured to see Vuser Count, transaction rate, and CPU metrics using the Custom Dashboard creation in AppDynamics.
