I have tested this in ALM versions 11, 11.52, 12.01 and 12.50, and unfortunately, there isn't a way to filter the columns in the 'Report' tab (lower grid) of the 'Test Instance Details' / 'Runs View' window. There is however, another location where this can be configured. While in the 'Test Instance Details' / 'Runs View' window, highlight the test run you would like to filter, then click the 'Details' button (located to the right of the red 'X' in the toolbar above the upper grid). In the 'Run Details' window, click the 'Steps' button in the left menu. Here you will be able to filter the run steps and add or remove the columns as you wish.
