I think the feature you are looking for is called Data Awareness. I am attaching a document from the Help files to this post [here is the doc][1] . Essentially, the test being developed is data driven and stored in ALM. The datasource(s) are then uploaded to the resources area of ALM. The key is creating and configuring test configuration(s) in the test plan which give the test the capability of running with data from the ALM resources. In fact you can create multiple test configurations if you like, all of which run with different data stored in ALM resources.
