LoadRunner provides limited support for the Firefox browser. Recording using the Firefox browser is possible when the multi-protocol Web Vuser is used and if Firefox makes standard HTTP calls only.

To record a Web script using the Firefox browser, use the multi-protocol Web Vuser with Firefox, as follows:

In VuGen, go to File -> New, and select ''New Multiple Protocol Script.'',
On the left side, choose ''Web HTTP/HTML only,'' and move it to right side. Click ,
In the ''Start Recording'' window, choose Win32 applications for ''Application Type.'',
For ''Program to Record,'' browse to the location of the executable for Firefox and select it,
Click , and start the recording.

Note: If Firefox finds an already open browser window, the new browser window launched by VuGen will run inside the already existing process. In this case, as VuGen cannot hook into the existing process, this will result in a recording problem. To avoid this occurring, before recording is started in VuGen, ensure that all Firefox windows are closed. The recommended approach is to check that there is no ''firefox.exe'' process running on the recording system. If such a process is present it should be terminated.
