IE 11 Compatibility with ALM 11 Patch 18

I have updated my ALM 11 instance to Patch 18 so that my users can run IE 11. I now get a message that the browser version is incompatible when I launch ALM in IE 11. Why am I getting this error?

This is a known issue with IE 11 and patch 18. The problem is that Microsoft changed either the way that the browser is reported when the browser version is checked or the way that the browser version is checked. Below is a link to the QCCR for this issue. HP has issued a workaround and you will need to replace the following files in the ALM deployment directory start_a.js and SiteAdmin.js to get around this issue or place the ALM server in the Compatibility Mode sites.
