Is it possible to disable rich text functionality in ALM?

we are using Orasi JIRA Bridge and have found that when we synchronize the Description field in ALM with the Description field in JIRA that the rich text is not maintained. Ideally to ensure that the rich text in ALM with bullets and numbering is still readable in JIRA, the functionality would be disabled.

I wanted to know if anyone has encountered this problem and if so, what was your solution? Did you live with the problem, disable/remove rich text or perhaps sync uni-directionally to another field?

Many thanks for your collective feedback.

I don't believe that Rich Text can be disabled, unfourtunately this is a limitation of the HP synchronizer, due to the nature of synchronization and the differences in field types between ALM and other endpoints such as Jira much of the special formatting can be stripped out when a synchronization is performed.

Creating a single direction ''container'' field on either end that does not get synced bidirectionally probably would be the best way to handle this so that the formatting in either tool does not get messed up.
