So, I noticed when installing that I can choose a LeanFT engine or clients? What’s the difference between these or are they the same thing?

The LeanFT Testing engine controls the interaction with your application that you are testing with the application object model and the object identification tools during test runs. The LeanFT engine is installed on any machine that you want to run your LeanFT scripts on. So, you could create LeanFT scripts on one machine if you want and run them on another while working on your next script.

The LeanFT client allows you to integrate with the Visual Studio or Eclipse IDE and extend it will the automation libraries which get installed in the Java folder for Eclipse and SDKDotNet folder for Visual Studio.
It also install custom project templates for NUnit, MSTest for VisualStudio and JUnit for Eclipse.
Included are also the applicaton model and the object identification center (like the object spy) to help in designing the tests.
