Hello. My entire team, including myself, is receiving the following error messages when trying to execute UFT tests using ALM. The first ones that display in the Automatic Runner window are "unspecified error" or "remote call procedure failed", which are displayed immediately after clicking Run. We are also receiving a popup message that reads "Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library. Runtime Error! Program: C:\\Program fi…. This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way."

We are currently using ALM 11.52 with UFT 11.53, and I have verified that I am able to run the same test from UFT without any errors. This issue only occurs when executing the tests from ALM. We were previously able to run these tests without any issues, but now we are unable to do so. I am unaware of any changes that could have been made, so I need help trying to figure out what could be causing this issue.

Hi. I have seen this issue before. Previously when this error occurred, the security policies that were in place were causing this connection issue between ALM and UFT to occur. I would like for you to contact the security admin, and have them suspend the security policies to see if you are able to successfully execute your tests. If the issue still exists, we will continue to troubleshoot.

Thank you for your help. I had the security policies suspended, and the tests are now executing as expected. I am going to pass this along to the admin so we can have the policies changed so that we are able to continue test execution.
