My agents are not reporting to the correct application in AppDynamics. Why?

I renamed an application and want those agents to report to a new application, but after reset they are not.

a. If you change a name of an application and want the agents that were pointing to the old application to point to the new application you will need to do the following:

i. Go into the agent configuration file and change the name of the application the agents are pointing to.

ii. Then reset the agent and it should report to the new application

iii. If that does not work you will need to change the tag in the controller-config.xml file from ''false'' to ''true''.

This will force the agents to the new application by registering it.

iv. If the name is the same skip step one and try resetting the agent. If any are still not reporting move to the next step of forcing agent registration.
