Object Locking Issue

When in the Defect module we have different simultaneous users, let say QA_Tester logs a defect & assigns it to Developer, now QA_Tester has the row of this defect highlighted inthe Defect Grid on his end, now when developer goes in to work on the defect. The Developer is receiving the following, error: "Object is Locked By user QA_Tester". Is there a way to get the object to be released so that the object is released from the user by it self, now to skip this issue we are asking QA_Tester to click on some other defect so that the object is released?

Soapy, Sorry, object locking is a ''for your own good'' behavior in QC and ALM. In your scenario, the QA_Tester user would need to ''move off'' of the defect to save their work and that will release the lock. This is just a process you need to get your users accustomed to. Marked as spam
