Object reference not set to an instance of an object when exporting defects

Getting an "Object reference not set to an instance of an object" error message when I attempt to export to Excel Defect records. I get it when exporting one, a few or even trying "export all". Saving to different locations does not matter. To add, I am an admin on the system so there is no issues writing to anywhere as well as I am a project admin in ALM.

HP has a solution in their KM article KM00515557. Issue is due to a missing registry value in Office. Manually adding it in should resolve the problem.

1. Go to Run and enter ''regedit''
2. Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftOffice14.0CommonLanguageResources
3. If the InstallLanguage registry is not available then it has to be recreated.
4. Right Click on ''LanguageResources'' and go to ''New'' -> ''DWORD Value''
5. Name it as ''InstallLanguage''
6. Edit the entry and set the value as ''1033''.

If the above does not help, try to create a 1033 directory under the Microsoft OfficeOffice1x directory then copy excel.exe to the 1033 directory and rename it to xllex.dll (if it does not already exist).
