Is there a way to change what user group that an ALM user gets assigned to when they are added to a project. For example when we add a user they are automatically added as a viewer, can we change that?

I am trying to give a certain user group in ALM update permissions for certain entities, I have added the permission to the user groups but the users are still unable to update the entities, am I doing something wrong?

I created a new field called "Resolution" in Project entities. I gave it a look up list of 6 items. This Resolution field is not displayed in any of the user groups.

I would like to restrict some user groups from editing certain fields in existing defects. I don't want to go the permissions route as that is too general if I just want to block one field. I know workflow would be best to accomplish this, but unsure of the best method.

I required some aid in setting up some workflow to set a field's value under defects based on the user group that the Assigned To user belongs to for a defect. Meaning if defect 42 is Assigned To user jsmith, I then want to poll what user group jsmith is in and auto assign a value to UDF BG_USER...
