Has the licensing mechanism changed in the new ALM 12.20? Can I use the same license as I had for 11.52 or will I need to get a new license?

We are upgrading to ALM v12.01. In prior versions, there used to be a way to select upgrade existing schema. There is an option to update a copy of the existing schema. Is there a way to upgrade the existing schema instead of a copy? Thanks in advance.

I have tried everything to get ALM Robot to run to no avail. I am unable to get past the validation screen. I am getting a System configuration issue on the host on the Source and Destination server connections.
