Are HP ALM 12.53 and HP ALM Octane the same thing? Can we integrate HP ALM Octane with HP alm 12.20? Is there anyway to upgrade a project to ALM octane?

When clicking on end run, users are getting a pop up stating do you want to update the test case in test plan. After clicking on yes, no error pop is generated. We are currently experiencing an issue with one of our check points. It is testing a text box for a value of 300.00 and it's failing. However, when you look at the report its showing the value was 300.00. Screen shot is attached.
