I will be glad to assist you with this issue. Unfortunately, there are several things that would cause this issue to occur.
According to HP, the most common reasons why items get locked in ALM are as follows:

- User session timed out while the item was open for editing
- User failed to logoff the project properly (closed the browser directly by using the Red X)
- User's browser session was interrupted due to clicking a link in an email (for example)
- Browser encountered an error and terminated

I would like for you to change the value in the LOCK_TIMEOUT parameter in Site Admin from 10 to 1 to see if that resolves the issue. After changing the value, restart the ALM service and test to see if the issue still occurs.

After changing the parameter value, we restarted the ALM service and retested, and were unable to reproduce the issue. I appreciate your help with this!
