Rather than having to request the creation of a service account, is it possible to create a non-LDAP user account in QC?

No, QC/LDAP authentication is ''either/or,'' since it exclusively uses the AUTHENTICATION parameter against the Site Admin database/schema to determine what type of authentication it uses. So, it is basically a switch; you can only use one or the other. As such, QC cannot offer a ''mixed mode'' to be able to have a user with QC authentication when LDAP authentication is already being used.

Ok, thanks. Here's hoping HP implements mixed-mode authentication in a future release!
