Saving Sprinter test run screenshots

Is it possible to grab screenshots saved during a Sprinter test run? Not to save to ALM but to grab for reference?

We do some reporting based on run information and having those screen shots would come in handy for certain test reports. Would rather not save to ALM then try to pull from there unless that is the only way.

It is possible to extract the screenshots from a run after the fact.

There are 2 possible scenarios. The images are written to %temp%Sprinter folder during the run. If you close Sprinter, this temp information is deleted automatically. So you try to save immediately after the run from that folder.

Say though you closed Sprinter out and did not save, or if shots from previous runs are needed, if you open the Sprinter Results Viewer from the ALM test run. This will load back the images to %temp%Sprinter folder. When Results viewer is closed, the folder contents get deleted again, so grab your images while Results viewer is open.

That sounds like a great workaround, I will take a look. Secondary concern, I have had some of my fellow users mention that sometimes the storyboard shows ''No Image'' so will assume then nothing would be in the temp folder. Is there a way to check on this?

(Sprinter side) Instruct Sprinter to capture all images during a test: Open Sprinter > Settings Select ''Save'' item from the list at the left and then make sure that the option ''Capture all images during a test'' is selected. Finally click ''OK''. (Project Customization side) Configure ALM 11 to save Sprinter images during a test: Open ALM 11 > Tools > Customize Select ''Sprinter'' item from the list at the left Ensure sure that the option ''Enable storing of all images during a test'' is enabled/selected Finally click ''Return''.

User who sees that needs to check on their settings, both from within Sprinter and for the project where the test is being run from.

I will pass this info on. Thank you. I did check temp folder, just as you said, the results viewer populates the folder. Very nice.
