Setting default Values for Test Cases in ALM?
Question ID: 108487

Hello,

Is there a way to set a default value for all tests added to a test set? For example, I have a field called Assigned Developer and I would like to set that as the default value for all within a test set. Currently I have to change each test in the set one test at a time. I would like to find a way to accomplish this without visiting each case individually.

Thanks,
HomerJ

Hello HomerJ,
See the document I have attached [link text][1]. It details how to use the edit functionality. Select the test module the select something like test cases and within the right side you will see the Edit column at the top. Select it and then within it select the set default option. It will allow you to select entities and assign defaults so each time a new case or created those defaulted entities will automatically select the default set for them. There is an excerpt from the user guide I created that details their usage with associated screen shots.

Hope this helps,

Dan
