Does Sprinter 14.01 need to match the UFT version or the ALM version? And do you know the correct order to install Sprinter and UFT on a virtual machine if needed?

From the the Sprinter 14.01 ReadMe:

Product Compatibility

Sprinter 14.01 functionality is compatible with:
* HPE UFT 14.01
* HPE Mobile Center 2.51
* HPE ALM 14.00 (SaaS)

The following versions are also supported:
o 12.55 or higher
o 12.53 Patch 2 or higher
* 12.21 Patch 5 or higher
* 12.01 Patch 5 or higher
* 11.52 Patch 10 or higher
For a list of the HPE ALM permissions you need to run ALM tests in Sprinter, see the Sprinter Help Center.

Sprinter and Automated Testing Tools

Sprinter and UFT (Unified Functional Testing) share a variety of system resources. Before installing Sprinter on a computer on which (UFT) is already installed, consider the following:
* If you uninstall UFT 14.01 after installing Sprinter, run the Sprinter Installation again in Repair mode.
* Sprinter cannot be run simultaneously on the same computer as UFT if Power Mode is enabled.
* Any changes to the installation of one of these products will affect the other. If you uninstall, modify, or upgrade one product, the other may fail. You will need to repair the installation of the affected product.
