Testing out some stuff in our test environment. We have a few test machines that have Sprinter 12.01 and UFT 12.02 on them. With ALM 11.52.

What happens is when trying to run a test in Sprinter with power mode on, we get error of Sprinter RTE has stopped working.

Hello,

Your issue would be that UFT 12.02 and Sprinter 12.01 are not compatible applications. As both applications use much of the same back-end client files, it is necessary that the two match for compatibility.

UFT 12.02 came out before ALM moved up to 12.20, and thus Sprinter 12.20. So the matching version you need for UFT 12.02 is Sprinter 12.20. Those two would match and be able to share the client files. Few specific details though on the install, so read below.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

1. UAC off at time of Sprinter install.
2. Install Sprinter with admin user under Windows.
3. After Sprinter is installed, you MUST run a repair on UFT 12.02.

After above you should be able to use Power Mode and not have the SprinterRTE error.

Ah, missed that Sprinter 12.01 and UFT 12.02 were not compatible. I know that the two apps have to be but I made a bad assumption for those version numbers. Guess the 12.02 threw me off. Thanks.
