System Fields and Requirment Types are Read Only ALM Demo Project

Help!

We are using the ALM Demo project supplied by HP on the install media for training.
The System Fields and Requirment Types are lock Read Only and we cannot update.

We opened a case with HP to resolve. HP said the ALM Demo project was created from a template project and is provided as is. HP conveyed that there was really nothing that could be done.

We have already search for configuration settings in the master database and project database to no avail.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to make the system fields available once more?

Ahhh the ALM Demo Project.
Here is the solution you are looking for to release the template binding for the ALM Demo Project.

1) Close ALL Connections to the project.
2) Run this SQL against the project's database.
DELETE td.Linked_Template_Items
3) Login to the Site Administrator
4) Repair the ALM Demo Project / Maintain Project / Repair Project
(Right Click through the menus and run Repair)
5) When the Repair finishes successfully, Relaunch the browser and login in the ALM Demo project customization.
6) System Fields and Requirement Types are no longer Read Only.
