Template linked project won’t allow for UDF edits

We have a project that was linked to template way back. When attempting to edit any UDFs in it this project, we get an error such as: "A field with the name BG_USER_xx already exists". Can't seem to find a way around this one.

Hello, Known issue, please refer to QCCRR1J85887. Patch is in final action phase for fix in an upcoming patch. Marked as spam
