UDF removal in template project shows audit log error in history of source project

We utilize Cross Project Customization for our ALM 11.52 server. Recently we edited our template project to remove a UDF. The changed was saved and the template was applied to a project.

The project applied to, when going to the History tab in test plan and clicking on the Audit Log, we get an error about the removed UDF "… is incorrect".

We need this reference to the removed UDF to not be causing errors in the Audit Log.

Hello,

It looks as though a similar issue was represented in the HP QCCR of QCCR1J24904: An error occurred when viewing the history of an entity after a user-defined field that initially had its History option enabled.

Though this QCCR should be in place in your ALM 11.52, possible with cross project customization being used, the fix is not being fully engaged as intended.

Suggested workaround is as follows.

- Add the UDF back to the template project and save change
- Re-sync the target project to the template so it now has the UDF
- In template project, for the UDF, remove the History check box for the filed under Project Customization, save change
- Re-sync the target project again
- Go back to template project, remove the UDF from customization and save
- Re-sync the target project one last time

The above should properly have the history removed from audit, so error should not longer be an issue.

I tried the above and it has removed the audit log error.
