UFT closes out when trying to use a regular expression in OR

It is observed that in UFT 14, UFT closes without any error while modifying object description properties (for example, converting into regular expression) in repository. This behavior is noticed on several VMs.

This is a known issue that MicroFocus is aware of. There is a hotfix currently available from MF support and it will be included in the next update to UFT. Marked as spam
