Using UFT with Edge browser is slower than IE???

When using Edge to run the same tests I run on IE, I’ve noticed it is a bit slower. Does anyone know why this is? I thought Edge was supposed to be faster than IE.

I found the following statement in HPE's UFT Help Center for UFT 12.54: ''Each step performed by Edge has a short delay due to the Edge Agent's injection of Javascript in the browser.'' This may be the cause.
