We are having an issue with ALM 11.52 and TLS1.2?

Hello,
We have recently had some of our client images take on a new update from Microsoft that is affecting the implementation we have of TLS1.0 and attempting to utilize and prioritize TLS1.2 as the used method of SSL. Does ALM 11.52 support TLS1.2 as we couldn’t find anything that suggests it does. Is there a work around that we may try if not?

Thanks in advance,
HomerJ

Hello HomerJ,
Currently ALM11.52 does not support TLS implementation. As per HP knowledge documents TLS1.2 is slated for full support in ALM14, but nothing is mentioned of the support being implemented into ALM11.52 (that is not to say that it may or may not be added in the future within a patch, but as of now it is not currently being discussed).

There is a possible work around documented from HP for ALM12.21 (see the following post: http://eyeontesting.com/questions/12267/is-alm-1221-officially-supporting-tls12.html#answer-12268 ),
but it is not tested nor guaranteed with ALM11.52. I have been told that it may work, but there is not guarantees and that it would be at the customers risk trying it. It is recommended that if you do attempt this to have it tested in a test environment first and make sure that full back ups are in place prior to any attempt to integrate TLS1.2.

I hope this answers your questions,
Dan

We will possibly try the work around and see how it goes. Thanks for the suggestions.
