When converting a manual test to a quick test the following error is given: Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation This does not happen on all tests only some.

Do all of the tests that won't convert have attachments uploaded to the design steps? If so HP is aware of this issue, currently there is not a fix but they are working on one. As a workaround remove the attachments from the steps and attempt to convert the tests again. Ask your support rep about QCCR1J78641 Marked as spam
