Over the past serveral weeks users have been reporting that their QTP scripts have been getting locked. What is the method/procedure (as an admin), to unlock QTP scripts?

Good Morning Wormy,
I have a document listed at the link below that should help. There are a few ways these locks are not released,

1. QTP Crashes and closes
2. QTP's connection to the QC server is interrupted (VPN timeout, Server connection time out, etc)
3. Closing QTP through the task manager

Basically if QTP isn't closed correctly this can happen.

As well as Michael 1's answer above, sometimes when I've had a VM or remote machine crash where I was running QTP and the script I had open was locked when I tried to pull it back up, I can go into QC as site admin and bring up the Site Connections tab. Usually I'll see that there's still an open connection in QC to that machine. I highlight all rows that list a connection to the machine and then click Disconnect. This has always worked with no problem and unlocks the test.

Be sure to save early and save often!
