How exactly do I use UI Automation in UFT?

I don’t quite understand how to try UI Automation in UFT. I think my application uses a technology that has the proper UI Automation interfaces, but I’m not sure what to do in UFT?

This blog post has a great introduction and a couple of use cases: http://community.hpe.com/t5/All-About-the-Apps/UI-Automation-and-HPE-UFT-Expanding-UFT-s-Testing-Abilities/ba-p/6832642 But to boil it down into the simplest steps: 1) Open UFT 12.5x and select the ''UI Automation'' Add-in at start-up. 2) Create a new GUI test. 3) Open your AUT. 4) Click on either Record or Object Spy. 5) Click on the node drop-down and select UI Automation.
