We have a user that is receiving errors when opening UFT and when attempting to connect to ALM on one of our Virtual Machines. He does not received the error when he logs into another VM with UFT installed. Other users do not receive the error he is getting on that specific VM when we log into it.

OS is Windows 7.

Here’s the error:

Failed to login. Please contact system administrator for help.
Description: Based on search criteria, multiple results were found for user ‘XXXXXXX’ …
ALM is unable to determine a unique match on the LDAP server. Contact your site administrator for assistance.

Sounds like somehow the user profile on that VM for that user got corrupted. I would start with recreating their profile on the VM and see if that resolves it. Depending on access levels, you may need to get a system administrator to do it. Here's a link with instructions: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/fix-corrupted-user-profile#1TC=windows-7
